| Purpose
Background | Vision/Mission Statements | Board of Directors Coming Clean Ministries was founded in August 1999 with the initial focus to support the speaking engagements after the release of the book COMING CLEAN by Dr Jorge Valdés. As his incredible story of hope and redemption become more widespread, many new opportunities began to open up. Today, we are a growing ministry with a number of projects and programs all designed to fulfill our mission of helping today's youth become contributing members of society. From our experience as a ministry and our personal experience of raising our own kids, we know the societal pressures on today's youth are greater than ever. So many kids suffer with addictions or afflictions. The addiction may be something obvious such as drugs, alcohol, or pornography. The affliction may be less noticeable such as low self- esteem or the impact of peer group pressure. These problems generally stem from an internal need to fill an apparent void in one's life. We believe the message of salvation as presented through Jorge's personal testimony and transformation will help kids in their struggle to deal with these problems. To know that all who are touched by Jesus Christ are committed to coming clean and staying clean.
