E-Letter
Week of February 26, 2004
My dear friend,
As we have been discussing in our past E-Letters
there is no set formula, rule, or procedure for
Coming Clean. At Coming Clean Ministries we know
that life has no guarantees but Coming Clean does!
It liberates us.
SEVEN STEPS IN COMING CLEAN
The Seven Steps in Coming Clean are an adaptation of
the Twelve Steps used in the devotionals reading
plan of the Recovery Bible. These steps were
adopted from the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics
Anonymous. I have decided to use seven because this
is the number in the Bible, which symbolizes
completion. God created the world in six days and
rested the seventh.
-
I believe that I am powerless to break the chains
that hold me in bondage and prohibit me from
Coming Clean.
-
I believe in a power greater than me that can help
me to Come Clean and thus be liberated.
-
I have decided to turn my will and life over to
God as I ask Him for the power to Come Clean.
-
I have made a searching and fearless inventory of
myself and identified the critical issues I need
to Come Clean about and those to whom I have to
Come Clean with.
-
I have Come Clean with God, family and those whom
I have hurt over issues that are paramount in our
lives.
-
I have asked God to give me a contrite heart about
those issues that I need to Come Clean about.
-
I have asked God to give me the strength to be
transparent before Him and others.
My friend, I have Come Clean, and will pray to Stay
Clean.
God Bless,
Jorge
